I think you would be nominated for "Hostess of the Year" if you presented your visitors with some lighted slippers. The wool slide-ons have a 25-foot lighting range and sensors that only activate the shoes when it is dark. $40.
I bought two boxes of these amber/copper-wired, cordless lights from Restoration, and they were so very pretty at Thanksgiving. The lights are smaller, brighter, and the wired cordallows you wrap around anything. It runs on double-A batteries, so you can sprinkle them anywhere. Love these! They come in several different hues and are range from $12 - $89 depending on length.
I have seen many variations on this theme, but these dip-dyed serving pieces intrigued me because they use vintage cake servers. I have a lot of vintage silver, so I pay attention to fun items like this! Ladies and Gentlemen created these pieces by hand-picking cake servers and then dipping them in food safe paint. $60 per piece. via
This is so sweet. Created by blogger Kelli Murray for her daughter's first birthday party. Very cute party all round. You can check out more photos here.
When you really want to best the Jones', you get the concrete (reinforced with carbon fiber) outdoor ping pong dining table by James DeWulf. Comes with clip-on net and can be fabricated in many other colors. And this will set you back a cool 7,000.
